Champion support Academy
Premium equestrian brand Champion, which has been a driving force in the design and development of protective riding hats for over 40 years has kindly agreed to provide a Jockey Skull and Ti22 Body Protector to each of the 24 young people who will be participating in the Riding A Dream Academy.
Khadijah Mellah who was famously pictured wearing a Champion jockey helmet when making history by winning the Magnolia Cup said, “I am so incredibly grateful to Champion for coming on board and supporting the young people involved in the Riding A Dream Academy. Getting involved in racing and equestrian sports is often not easy and with lots of expense along the way. Having confidence in your equipment to help keep you safe is so important, and so too is having your own kit to really help you believe that there is a place for you in racing. I am so excited to have Champion on board for the journey.”
Mel Newman, Head of Marketing for Champion said, “All of us at Champion are passionate about helping to make equestrian sports more diverse and inclusive. We are delighted to be supporting The Riding A Dream Academy in its mission to support talented riders from underrepresented communities get into horse racing, a sport with which we have a long and proud history. We hope that our involvement in the Academy will support some of the future stars of the sport.”
